My story

What do you get when you mix a varsity wrestler, jazz trumpeter, blacksmith apprentice, and fly fisherman?

You get me — Adam Keene, the spark behind Keene Metaling 2.0.

Trained by my dad, master blacksmith and inventor Christopher Keene, I’ve been swinging hammers since I could walk (or at least since I could safely hold one). I’m just as comfortable shaping molten steel and forging fish sculptures as I am learning a new jazz riff on guitar, trumpet, sax, bass, or keyboard — yeah, I play all five.

When the forge cools, my world shifts to wrestling mats, music stands, and modeling shoots — all part of my creative chaos. My mom, Cindy, keeps things (sort of) organized, while Astro and Yoko, our Portuguese Water Dogs, make sure every hammer stroke is properly supervised.

At Keene Metaling, every sale helps support my college fund, our family banter, and the noble mission of keeping real craftsmanship — and sparks — alive.

Forged by hand. Fueled by humor. Crafted by Keene.
